Cosy one bedroom cottage, built with budget minded travelers in mind.
$65 per night for up to two people if you stay for seven nights.
$85 per night for stays of between 2 nights and 6 nights.
Long stays ( longer than 14 days) are $55 per night.
Huatoki Cottage is both sunny and private…overlooking a raised herb garden.
It is located 2.5 kilometers from the town center, in a safe residential area. Three minutes walk away…. there is a classic Kiwi Fish n’ Chip shop, a bakery, and a Roast Meal Takeaway shop. Should you feel like cooking, Huatoki Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. Help yourself to herbs and vegetables from the garden when they are in season.
We aim to provide a retreat that feels homely! The cottage is small (motel/ studio size) and is ideally suited to one or two people. There are extra beds available in the living area, however.
Huatoki Cottage is located near the main residence on our very large central city section. Although the cottage is private, we are usually on site to answer questions and to point you in the right direction if you are not familiar with the area.

* One small bedroom with a Queen bed
* Lounge / Couch (springs out to a double bed/ thick foam mattress) A fold out single stretcher bed is also available if required.
* Heat Pump
* Shower ( gas water heating) and toilet
* Full kitchen / small fridge / gas hobs / microwave / bench top oven/ electric fry pan etc.
* Plates/ utensils/ pots/ coffee plunger / wine glasses etc.
* Sheets/ towels/ blankets etc.
* Off street parking
* Lots of good books , magazines, cards, games , toy box and stuff for big kids to do.
* TV ( freeview) and D.V.Ds..
There is a 25 meter gravel path leading from the car parking area to the cottage. Although it is flat and reasonably well compacted, it is not suitable for some people with mobility problems. There are also four steps from the ground up into the cottage. Most elderly people ( including my 85 year old father!) cope with the path perfectly well, but I need to draw this to your attention for consideration.

Rates: Premium pricing applies during events such as WOMAD, Rugby World Cup etc. WOMAD rates are $120 per night( 4 night minimum) or $580 for 7 days ( 14th MAr-21st MAr) USUAL RATES are Two night minimum. $85 per night ( up to two people) but $65 per night ( two people) if you stay for 7 nights.

Nearby attractions & activities
Walk to town via the Huatoki Walkway at the bottom of our paddock. Fifteen minute walk to The Bowl of Brooklands/ Pukekura Park etc.
